Can you be sued for redistributing a open source program?

I do not own the program nor develop it. It is a open source program, I just have the links to it on my site.

If its under the GPL license you can not only redistribute it but you can modify and sell it. Open source is the way of the future! ./Linux

If you are linking to their web site, then you are not redistributing their program.

If you were, say, taking their program and selling it to other people, that would get you sued by the owners of the program.
