How do I change a Windows 7 open office document to a Windows xp microsoft word document?

Because I need to print in out, so if I put the open office document on my USB then what do I do?. Thanks!

1.) From within Open Office, go to the "file" menu
2.) Go past "save" to "save as"
3.) In the window that’s now on your screen, you can enter a filename and just below that there is a file format pickbox. Click on that, and select what you want (probably Word ‘97 XP).
