How do I contribute to an open source application?

I would like to do more than just reporting the bugs that i find on day to day usage of Open source software. Yet I do not exactly want to program for OSS because my programing skills are definitely lacking. What would be your suggestion Internet?

  • † Oh yeah

Donate some money to those projects.

Whenever I order something online I use a visa giftcard; whatever is left over on the card I give to various open source projects like Firefox and GIMP.

Voice your request to the techies at the open source site. I’m sure they have projects that they could suggest to you that would be within your skills and probably things they find tiresome to do themselves.
