How do I save my open office work so that I can Use it on a Microsoft office computer?

Hi
Im currently doing my coursework and at home I have open office but on the school computers it is microsoft word so which option should i pick so that I can Access both of them. Just to make it clear I’m saving it form my laptop (open office) .
Thankks in advance
I mean which option should I select when it says "save as file type" so that its compatible on both?

    Kristof has the correct answer. Also be aware you can save your files as .rtf (Rich Text Format) and be able to open them in other word processors and text editors, not just Microsoft.

    Under the bar where it asks you what you would like to save the file as. There will be another bar asking you to specify what format you want to save it as. So click that and look for Win Word and whatever year of Word that you might use. It has to be the correct year of format though or else it’ll come out wrong and the whole process was useless

    OpenOffice can save your file as file with extension doc.

    Go to file save as… and from the dropdown where it says "save as type" select "Microsoft word 97/2000/XP "
