How to upload themes/templates to my wordpress dashboard?

I am new to wordpress and would appreciate any help on how to upload (if thats the right word) any templates/themes?

Assuming you’ve downloaded a theme from the Web (ZIP file). Click on "Themes" under "Appearance", then click on "Install Themes" tab on the top, then switch to "Upload" on the top. Browse for your ZIP file and click on "Install Now". After it’s been installed (usually a few seconds) it will give you an option to preview or activate the new theme.

Uploading has nothing to do with Wordpress – you upload the files with an FTP program (to the FTP address of your site). (Look at the theme’s instructions to see where to put which files.)

You have to upload the theme file to the directory wp-content/themes/ dats it and you are done. YOu can now see your theme in the theme’s page under Appearance menu.. He he

Hi,
You need to use an FTP program to upload the themes to your server. A free FTP program can be downloaded from http://filezilla-project.org/
When you upload, make sure you upload to the /wp-content/themes/ folder.
