iphone support in Ubuntu 10.04 beta1
Everybody is excited now about the product launch of the ipad but I guess it’s time to put it away and take a look at iphone support in the upcoming release of Ubuntu (10.04, Lucid Lynx). The first few minutes are containing footage from a fresh install. After that I compiled the latest version (1.0.0) of libimobiledevice what makes it all possible whit some other software. I suggest you to watch the video in HD. For Ubuntu head to: www.ubuntu.com If you’re looking for more information or building instructions www.libimobiledevice.org The music freemusicarchive.org PS: My iphone is not jailbroken since there is no option for that with 3.1.3 firmware.

nice beats
really nice video! well done.
4 stars because of the stupid cameraman.
5 stars for music and content, please record more about that kind of support.
@jobasti What sort of content are you interested in? Is it iPhone specific or just general Ubuntu?
@masterofabortions If you ask from that side, both
but for the start iPhone with Linux will do it, i would like to see more from the “what can we do” view. But later more abput Ubuntu 10 would be nice
@jobasti I’ll see what I can do with it
hey thats awsm…. can you sync music to iphone lib too…???
Working on same problem from the Fedora 12 side!
It would be very cool if libmobiledevice included BlackBerry support – syncing calendar, contacts and some such in a transparent way, without resorting to cryptic opensync plugins…
cool
this music is the bomb
