what’s the most supported printer brand for Ubuntu?

@AndresBarrios1990 Generally I’d be inclined to say HP. That said, I used to have a Lexmark printer, my parents have 2 Lexmark printers, and they all worked fine in Ubuntu, and I’ve currently got a Samsung printer that I’ve had since 2000 that works wonderfully (laser).
Openprinting. org has a database of printers with information on how they work in Linux.

    Good luck!

I like the Archos devices for an iPad competitor.

@cusinndzl The archos devices are definitely powerful and a load of fun, if I remember correctly.

“With YouTube, Apple and Microsoft backing H.264″

Google owns YouTube, so that is not much of an issue, if they want the YouTube HTML5 player to use VP8 they will.

@MrDanielHen Absolutely. I have a feeling the Google I/O conference will change a lot of things.

I cannot wait for it if this is true, Right when I get home form the last day of school (it’s a half day) Google I/O will have just began to start. :D

I do think Google will give VP8’s code to Xiph (behind Theora and Vorbis and many other codecs). If they wouldn’t give it to Xiph, would Google begin fund TheoraARM?

@MrDanielHen That’s a good point. Perhaps they’re planning to merge VP8 and Ogg? Not sure how that would work.

    @thisweekinlinux
All they would have to say is “Xiph, here is VP8. Replace the current libtheora with VP8’s codebase” Bam! That easy. ;)

I wonder if On2 has an audio codec too… (I’ll look it up)

@MrDanielHen Well, they’re already throwing a bunch of money at them. Write them a big enough check, perhaps they’ll go for it. :)

@MrDanielHen vorbis already surpasses most lossy audio.

@thisweekinlinux Hey Jordan, I made a small intro video for TWIL. I would make it a video response if I could figure where the button is now. It is the last video I uploaded. Check it out. Hope you like it. If you want the sources or 1080p video I can send them to you.

Hah, I didn’t expect you to cover the WePad. :-) I’m with you on that story, but right now, the German appleboys laugh at it.

@EdgyRootStudios What can I say? It got a ton of coverage this week. I really hope it makes it to the worldwide market.

@librano I forgot to respond here. I definitely appreciate the intro. Thanks for sending me the sources. I’ll see if I can come up with some non-copywritten music and try to find a place in the show to use it. Thanks!
