Not sure what you are actually looking for here but inserting affiliate links is just like inserting any other link into the content of a page.

If you know basic HTML it’s easy enough and with the WYSIWYG editors on the blogging platforms you mention all you normally need to do is highlight the text you want to be the anchor text for the link, click on the link icon (usually an icon that looks like a chain link) and enter your affiliate link in the pop up box.

To add the most basic and simple text links manually you would use the following <a href="http://youraffiliatelink">Your Anchor Text</a> which will turn the text between the tags into a clickable hyperlink.

If you are looking to insert images or banners, the affiliate network usually provides the code you need and it’s as easy as pasting it where you want, be it in the post or page content HTML or a sidebar widget for example.

Remember that Wordpress.com free hosting does not permit the use of affiliate links, nor do they allow code such as third party javascript, so it’s not really the platform for affiliate marketing sites. Blogger is more affiliate friendly if you must use a free service.

If you host your own Wordpress.org blog none of that is a problem and you can add whatever you like to your site. There are also literally hundreds of plugins available that can automate and streamline the inclusion of affiliate links and networks from simple keyword driven text links and banners right up to fully featured shops and e-commerce sites driven by data feeds from the merchants. (link below explains difference between Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org for your reference)

You can read plenty about Wordpress, affiliate marketing etc. at my main site which you can find through my profile here on Yahoo Answers.

    The answer is simple!

    1. Complete customization
    2. Better content management
    3. 100% control of "SEO" Search Engine Optimization
    4. Easy Social Networking sites integration
    5. Free Spam blocker Plugins, along with thousands of other great free plugins
    6. Adding Users of your blog or website depending on how you treat it.
    7. The whole site can be moved or duplicated very easily
    8. This list could go on for days, haha

So to answer your question "WordPress"

If you didn’t know, 16% of all the websites in the world are now WordPress based and is still growing.

If you would like to learn more about WordPress and or Social Media Marketing here is a link to my site that goes much in depth in to both topics.

    Cheers!
