Even though not connected to the wireless router? Is there an open source program that can do this. I know of several programs that capture packets, but you actually have to be connected to the wireless router.. When I say connected I’m not mean physically I mean connecting by putting the wep or wap key. I want to capture packets from my laptop.

Looking for a good open source program to study in order to pick up on the idioms of Ruby programming that make Ruby programs uniquely succinct, elegant, powerful, profound, and readable. I am looking for a program that when I study thee source code for it, it will show me the strengths of the language.

Sort of like design patterns but code patterns. You know, good idioms of the language that are in popular use.

What is the best open-source vector-based drawing program?

i want to download and use KWORD as a word processor instead of MS Office because my trial expired for that, but i dont understand how to download KWORD. I read that its an open-source program and all i find to download for it are source files with extensions like .tar.bz and .tar.gz/.tar.gz2 and its really confusing. i just want to use Kword, i dont want to configure it or anything! can someone please explain this to me?

I am using Open Office 3.2, and I was wondering if I can turn my Presentation slides with Pictures and Music into a single Video file, like a .AVI or .MPEG. Is there an easy way to do this? If not, is there a free open source program that can convert the .ODP files into a .AVI or .MPEG or other widely used and supported Video file? Thanks in advance for you help!
