What is the best version of Linux for programmers?

Hi, I’m a programmer and I’m currently using Ubuntu as my main OS which I want. I looking for the best version of Linux or any other type of free OS that is good for a programmer. Ubuntu is the most user friendly version of Linux but I want a OS that is good for a programmer. Anyone have any suggestions?

GO TO 21becioggcz9prcczcqnbw1r6m.hop.clickbank.net – Hope you like the new UBT. It was a big jump since the last version. The new version also includes “custom stylesheet” and “custom functions” so that when you update in the future, your customizations won’t be lost. It is also iPad ready and compatible to all browsers.

What are the differences between UNIX and Linux, and what about all those choices within Linux?

What are the operational differences between Linux and UNIX? Why would a programmer choose one over the other? What about software selection and ease of programming (with already basic knowledge of programming, and wanting to dive in to open source)?

In terms of Linux, what makes things like Red Hat cost money and things like Ubuntu not? Is pay-for OS based on Linux better quality than freely distributed OS? What is the best choice for Linux-or-Unix OS for a budding programmer?

What are the most profitable ways for a programmer to make money from open source code?

As a programmer, I am impressed by the quantity and quality of open source software products. A couple of the best ones I’ve personally used are: jEdit and FreeMind. I support the open source concept, but am concerned that it negatively impacts programmers’ income potential. Becoming an open source consultant would probably be the best way of making a living from writing open source code. How else can a programmer make a living from open source code?
Some additional questions… Can one legally repackage and resell open source? Are there standard types of open source licenses?
