Open Source PC

When I click on the Open Office icon, when it comes up it has the word processor and the spreadsheet (the two things I selected to install at the time). Now I don’t use the spreadsheet anymore like I use to, is there anyway I remove it from the selection screen, or do I need to wait for the next update so I can choose what I want on there? Thanks for any advice on what to do.

i want to download and use KWORD as a word processor instead of MS Office because my trial expired for that, but i dont understand how to download KWORD. I read that its an open-source program and all i find to download for it are source files with extensions like .tar.bz and .tar.gz/.tar.gz2 and its really confusing. i just want to use Kword, i dont want to configure it or anything! can someone please explain this to me?

I recently created a 2500 entry database in open office. Yeah I know I have too much time on my hands.. So the table is done but I am unsure how to extract the data into either an open office text file or wordpad or any other word processor… Does anybody know how to accomplish this?
