I am wanting to make a pdf file but will need all the documents in one window on open office if you not what I mean.
So instead of having about 7 open office writers open I can put all the context in to one window.

I downloaded the open office program from the net. It’s a good word processing program, but I think I prefer word for some applications. When I burn something to a CD, my other computers can’t read it. Help!

I am Opening a word perfect document, with a lot of pictures, in to open office word. The pictures do not copy
I have tried to save the word perfect document as RTf and doc. The RTF has come the closest to being formatted correctly but needs a lot of adjusting. Is there a way to open the document in open office that will correctly format it the way I had it in word perfect ?

Open Office Word Document is free. Microsoft isn’t. Micrsosoft is around 0 for my computer. What’s the difference?

I just want the number of characters, without spaces. Open Office’s word count counts all characters including spaces.
That tells me the number of characters with the spaces. I want the number of characters withOUT spaces.
This is a good test showing how JAWS (the text to talk software interface, works under Windows 7 and Open Office.
I decided to see how Open Office’s word processor would work in Windows 7, since I prefer Open Office over Microsoft Office. Windows 7 handles Open Office version 3 without any issues. However, JAWS will need some scripting in order to see the various buttons in dialog boxes. Menus work fine, though. I only demonstrate the one issue JAWS has which is navigating the spell checking & other dialog boxes.
