I have installed Linux Mint 8 on my flashdrive, but how do I actually boot Linux to run at startup? I dont know how to make Linux run or launch, my computer just keeps booting into Windows Vista, and I really hate Vista. How do I make Linux boot from my flashdrive?

Can open office be opened in a computer without it?
I need to do a powerpoint for scho but i dont have microsoft powerpoint. However, i have open office which has a slideshow maker on it. My question is if i make a slideshow on open office.And save it to a flashdrive nd then plug my flashdrive into my teachers comp will it open?
