I plan to have both Windows Xp SP3 and Ubuntu on my hard drive. I plan to put them on different partitions, but I do not know how bug to make the Partitions. I have a 180GB hard drive. I was thinking 100GB for windows, and 80Gb for Ubuntu. Is this to small or big to run Ubuntu smoothly.

How do I boot into Ubuntu instead of Windows?
I used to have windows and ubuntu installed on separate partitions where I had grub and I could choose the os. Now after I reinstalled windows, grub doesn’t come up anymore. I still have ubuntu on the other partition. Is there any way to choose the partition I boot from or reactivate grub/edit boot partition?
