I plan to have both Windows Xp SP3 and Ubuntu on my hard drive. I plan to put them on different partitions, but I do not know how bug to make the Partitions. I have a 180GB hard drive. I was thinking 100GB for windows, and 80Gb for Ubuntu. Is this to small or big to run Ubuntu smoothly.
I want to install Ubuntu, and my computer has no partitions. But i want to keep XP, i don’t want to do a clean install. How do i set up the partitions, should i do it manually? How do i mount the partitions? This is my first time doing this kind of thing.
I used to have windows and ubuntu installed on separate partitions where I had grub and I could choose the os. Now after I reinstalled windows, grub doesn’t come up anymore. I still have ubuntu on the other partition. Is there any way to choose the partition I boot from or reactivate grub/edit boot partition?
