WordPress is a program written in PHP used for editing and managing content on Blogs. I am thinking of using this CMS (content management system) to manage news (etc.) on a regular website (not a blog). Will WordPress still be useful?
I’m posing this question to users familiar with WordPress that can attest to its usefulness (or to its uselessness).
I have a wordpress.com blog, not hosted in my own server but using the one from the site. I want to add a few tools like maps, stat counters etc but i read that wordpress.com allows limited use of these features and most plugins are designed for the blogs you host on your own. Can anyone suggest a few tools/plugins for wordpress.com, even if they have to be implemented using widgets? Do these plugins work on blogger too?
Is it possible to monetize wordpress.com blogs with ads such as adbite or bidvertiser? If not, what would be a blog system that would be compatible with bidvertiser? Thanks.
