Okay, so I run a tutorial/blog/resource site & I noticed that when I put HTML Codes into the Text Areas in WordPress I keep seeing this <p>! It’s messing up the HTML Codes! So I need to know if there is a plugin, or is there something else I can try! I tried these plugins already:Wordpress Code Snippet & SyntaxHighlighter Plus, none of them work! Any tips? Creating wordpress themes?
I create websites as a hobby, its something I really enjoy doing. Everyone seems to be using wordpress and I have no idea how to use it.
I downloaded it and uploaded it to my cPanel and yeah I’m still baffled.
I make themes for fansites and now everyone is going with wordpress it seems only right that I should too, but I dont want to be making something I can’t code (lol) does anyone have any links or information where I can read up about wordpress, how to install, work and create themes?

Does anyone have design experience with wordpress.org blogs? Help please..?
I just finished a few weeks ago my design on the header and sidebar of my home page blog. My question is: I made it where that instead of having 1 column and the sidebar, to 1 column, I fixed them to be together as 1 big column from top to bottom. When I attempt to ad a post the columns go back into 2? Can some one advise me how to correct this issue where I can have 1 column automatically when adding a post or pages…..Or how to fix it?

Can you use install any WP plugin on the free version of WordPress?
I noticed that the dashboard is missing the plugins button so the obvious conclusion is that you cannot but I just want to make sure since I’m a noob at using both the self-hosted and the free versions of WP.

I registered with WordPress.com, got myself a blog & received an email message. I noticed that at the bottom of the email message there is the following:
"Your WordPress.com API key allows you to use services like Akismet @ http://akismet.com/"
I know that this plugin prevents spam, that’s why I need it obviously 🙂
So I downloaded the plugin but don’t know where to go to the plugins section as mentioned on their website http://akismet.com/download/
"Steps to install" section.
"Upload the plugin file to your WordPress plugins directory inside of wp-content." Where do I find my plugins directory on my blog? Please be specific.
One more thing, do I need to install WordPress from this website
http://wordpress.org/download/ or is it optional? What is it and what does it do?
