I’ve looked at some of the well-known open source gallery scripts, like Gallery, Plogger and ZenPhoto. While they all have great features, none seems to have a "multiple download" feature.
I want to be able to let users download the hi-resolution versions of images. I also want to allow users to download all images in an album.
Is there any script out there that offers this functionality?
live.pirillo.com – Minutes after I sliced my finger on the Wii box, I decided to download a program for Mac OS X called “DarwiinRemote”. Essentially, you connect your WiiMote via Bluetooth to any Mac running OS X.
I have just written a program. Now I want to make it free to all and open source. I want to allow others to edit it, but I don’t want to someone else to steal the name. I don’t have any money for copyright, so that’s out of the question.
One of my little ‘dreams’ is to create an online organisation that is dedicated to making video games that are open source and free. I realise that I need a website and do some advertising and such, but how would you suggest starting something like this using little to no money.
Thanks in advanced.
In Iran recently illegal protests were aided by such things as cell phones, Twitter, etc. However, such mechanisms can be fairly easily thwarted. If a group wanted to overthrow a repressive government, it would need to construct an unbreakable communication apparatus for planning and implementation. I would think that such an apparatus could be designed and run "open source" so even if the government in question attempted to interrupt it, they couldn’t. How would you go about constructing such an apparatus?
twitter.com – facebook.com – My thoughts on Ubuntu… hah! I think it’s a Linux distro. I don’t have any issues with the operating system. As far as Linux distros go, it’s likely the easiest to use. Any time I say something about one distro instead of another, a war tends to break out. They can all agree, though, that Ubuntu is about as close as Linux has come to being mainstream thus far. chris.pirillo.com
I want to do some youtube videos, but I’d like to get some editing software to help me create and edit the videos. Nothing special, just backgrounds and image distortion effects. Is there anything out there that works okay on windows and is open source?
I have been getting into flash a bit for the web and need a proffessional tool that I can use prefferably open source. If not, what are good programs for this ather than adobe’s?
