I need an alternative to the Adobe CS. Free and open source is preferred. I’m mainly looking for something to edit flash files since I already have Aptana in place of Dreamweaver. If you have a link to download that would be great.

Any idea why Ubuntu 7.10 does not ask to set a root password during the installation time?
That’s annoying because now I am trying to install a few packages and a "SU" password is required. The installation only ask to setup a user name and password.Any idea how I can setup a root password now that Ubuntu is installed?

How do I open a possibley corrupt file on Open Office?
I have alot of work I’ve done on an Open Office Impress file and now when I try to access it, it says, General Input/Output error. What’s going on? This is duue today and I did my absolute best! What is a good open source help desk system?
Hello,
I do tech support for a small buisness in CA. I am thinking of using a help desk system that can be accessed by other employees. I would like to manage technical support issues, contact system, notes, maybe even a calander.
What do you think is a good system? I want open source first to test the waters and make sure the system will be used. If so I will then switch to a full help desk system.
