Are there any Open Source Software for backing up my documents onto a hard drive at a certain time every day?

I recently bought a new external hard drive after my old one crashed. My old one came with a program that would automatically back up my files at a certain time every day. My new hard drive came with a few programs like that one – but they all cost money. I was wondering if there were any Open Source or free programs that I could download to use.
