I don’t know anyone that has contributed to the open source movement and I am around some pretty technical people. Where do they all hide? In Norway? Toronto? This movement is huge, but who the hell is doing it?

The Best Blogging Software Around – WordPress
quesomanrulz.com – Hello again everyone, this video tutorial is about WordPress and how to install and use some of it’s basic features. Two ways of installing WordPress are covered, Fantastico and Manual. Fantastico is preferred by most people and me, it makes the process simpler. If you have access to Fantastico then you should definitely use that. http and 000webhost.com both have the Fantastico service available for their free users. I use http and would suggest that. Thanks to BlackJackEnt for suggesting this tutorial. byethost.com http wordpress.org twitter.com Visit quesomanrulz.co.cc for more!

Why can't I post a comment on my friends WordPress blog anymore?
I’ve been posting comments on my friends WordPress blog for about 6 months. Now all of a sudden I am unable to. The comment "send" button is frozen. I press it, and nothing happens. I have Google Blogger. I am entering the same information as always. I have had no problem commenting on other WordPress blogs. She has no idea why I can’t comment either. Any ideas?
How can I learn what open source content managment system will be best for my needs?
I want to start a small, localized, free singles community website. I want people to be able to register, participate in forums and polls as well as blogs. I would like if members could create their own profiles which could include blogs of their own.
Is there an open source CMS that would be best suited for this type of use?
What is the EASIEST way to setup a Linux Web Server?
I have a need to host some web sites, and have been trying to do so with an evaluation copy of Server 2k3. And while I have been able to get more than a few simple sites up, I am having trouble doing anything advanced, like setting up a simple in and out bound mail server, or getting PHP scripts to run.
One option I am considering is seeing if there is a SIMPLE (meaning totally newby friendly) Linux build that might work.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a Linux build that would include a web server, mail server and php compiler (or whatever the appropriate term is) that someone who has NEVER used linux could install, configure through some sort of reasonable "wizard," plug source files into and then go from there?
Thanks in advance!
AnythingSlider for WordPress Plugin Tutorial
Get the plugin here: bit.ly The plugin will work on all WordPress installs, but since all themes are different, you will need to style it to make it fit into your theme. The plugins creates a post_meta_box on your wordpress post edit page so you can select which image to use in the slider. This video shows how to add images to the content slider and tweak the CSS to make it fit. If you want a Free Premium WordPress theme with the AnythingSlider already installed, go to mattdunlap.org to get it. The theme is the same one I’m using for my blog.
Open Office: How to get rid of a straight line in my document?
Sometimes when I am typing in an Open Office document, a straight line will just appear when I press the enter key. I can’t erase it or delete it. Even if I press CNTRL Z, it won’t undo the line, it appears to be a permanent fixture. How do I get rid of this line? And how do I prevent that happening to begin with?
How can I force Ubuntu to connect via mobile broadband?
I am running the latest version of Ubuntu and connect to the internet via a Mobile Broadband dongle connected via USB. I also want to use a wireless USB dongle to connect to a separate network. Whenever I connect to the wireless network, Ubuntu will no longer connect to the internet via the Mobile Broadband dongle… How do I fix this?
How would I modify the core components of Linux (preferably debian or ubuntu) to make my own distro?
I want to make my own distribution, targeted at linux newbies making the transition to linux. I would prefer it to be based on debian or ubuntu due to the large amount of software for both, yet something my own. Like a custom boot screen, one centralized task bar, and if it is in any way possible, the last copy of beryl. I would need the iso file.
