I have a website which uses a gallery as its Home Page. I’ve been told that Google cannot use my home page as a reference point because it contains no text (it’s a Flash gallery). So should I make my blog my Home Page instead?

I Don't Have A PlugIns Menu In My WordPress Blog?
Every support doc. i’ve read, automatically assumes i have a Plugins menu in my WordPress blog after ‘Appearance’ and Before ‘Users’, which i can use to execute various code.
However i’ve been through my entire blog menu and i can’t seen to find the ‘Plugins’ menu.
I’m using a theme ‘cutline’ and am on a free account.
Also, i’ve tried to find out how to install plug-ins and couldn’t understand a word.
Does anyone have a step by step approach which starts from ‘Boot Into Windows’.
I’m on the WordPress.com account. Not WordPress.org.
What i’m trying to do is add ‘Google Analytics’ to my Blog. Does anyone know how to do that?
Does the Google Analytics plug-in for WordPress automatically insert the code when you give it the UA string?
I’m very new to using plugins on WordPress. One of them is for Google Analytics and when I tried to activate it, it asked for a UA string. So I registered on Google Analytics and got that string and entered it in the appropriate box back on WordPress. What I’m wondering is if I still have to insert the html code on the template or if its done automatically for me?

Why can't I post a comment on my friends WordPress blog anymore?
I’ve been posting comments on my friends WordPress blog for about 6 months. Now all of a sudden I am unable to. The comment "send" button is frozen. I press it, and nothing happens. I have Google Blogger. I am entering the same information as always. I have had no problem commenting on other WordPress blogs. She has no idea why I can’t comment either. Any ideas?

How easy is it to get open source software projects funded?
If there is a gap in the open source software world for a particular application/system, is it generally possible to find companies/public organisations to help fund the creation of that project if someone is willing to coordinate / manage the project? Does anyone have any examples of projects initiated in this way? I’m thinking of a scale of project larger than a Google summer of code.
